It all began with a film camera in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee when I was just four years old. Captivated by the light streaks on my developed 35mm film. Since then, I’ve been drawn to capturing the quiet beauty of nostalgia - whether it be through people, places, or unique perspectives in both film and digital photography. Some of my most favorite projects have involved photographing people and capturing their story, through the lens.
There is a French Proverb that reads “Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid." Which translates in English to, “Little by little, the bird makes its nest.” This quote has been a staple since my late teens and a reminder as I have journeyed through the process of building RLPC. In the moment, not much seems to have changed; yet looking back, the work that has been done leaves me speechless. RLPC has been over a decade long dream that became a reality in a blink of an eye. Built by the support of countless friends and family; fueled by faith and divine connections. May it bless you even more than it has blessed me.
